Colin and his trusty aid dropped in to the RAF Cosford Air Show 2019

  Posted June 10, 2019

Colin and Lydia joined over 60,000 spectators at the RAF Cosford Air Show 2019 to give advice and direction to many of the Veterans attending there who suffered from a hearing loss as a result of military Service.  The sound of fast jets giving a display of wonder and awe was, at times deafening but emphasised what veterans could be subjected to whilst serving for their nation.

The spectacular Red Arrows and many others gave a display that had the crowd buzzing with delight and this was further enhanced with the static displays dotted around the Cosford Air Base. Visitors from many parts of the world had come to see what the RAF could offer and, of course the RAF did not disappoint any of them giving a show that would not be surpassed by many.  There was a nostalgic theme to the show this year as the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund was celebrating 100 years of helping RAF personnel and their families including Veterans.

A great but long day out however, many Veterans from all parts of the UK and further afield took up the opportunity of starting that new journey of a better quality of life and joined the family of Veterans already being looked after by the UKVHH team.
