Colin and Lydia joined the excitement, frills and spills at the RNAS Air Show in Yeovilton to talked to Veterans on how UKVHH can help them on the journey to a better standard of life if they had suffered from a hearing loss as a result of military Service. A full air display, static aircraft and vehicles were in abundance with a high level of noise generated by the fast and furious aircraft and helicopters flying around the display area. The noise was so great at times, it was difficult to talk to Veterans and it emphasised the levels generated with those who had served and are still serving which could result in a hearing loss.
Flares were flying with several simulated explosions to add to the ambience of the day and with the weather being so kind, a great day was had by all those attending. Another successful day for UKVHH with many Veterans and other organisations, taking up the challenge to a better quality of life. Several Veterans were delighted with the service provided by both Colin and Lydia, that they took away information brochures to pass to their colleagues who had also a hearing problem as a result of military Service.
One of the most exciting highlights of the show was the appearance of the new Lightning 2 aircraft which had the crowds cheering with delight knowing that this would soon serve on the new aircraft carriers however, they are not exactly quiet so the right equipment is needed for those working on board.
