“Tanks” for the invitation

  Posted August 5, 2019

Colin and Lydia scored two perfect goals at the Harborough at War event with being able to join those attending at the first event ever held in the region and, together with the events they have attended, reached out to over 1,000 Veterans who are either keen to take up the challenge or have joined others in the journey of a better quality of life.  The event itself as based around reenactment in the trenches during WWII together with a full display of tanks and motorised gun units patrolling around the arena.

A mock battle took place with British, American and German forces battling it out in the arena with a sound victory for the allies.  Veterans from afar came to visit Colin and Lydia and both were encouraged by the number of Veterans prepared to take up the challenge and journey to a better quality of life.  This was further enhanced with local charities wanting to take up the opportunity of letting their members know of the facilities that UKVHH can offer to those who are suffering a hearing loss as a result of military Service and, encourage them to take up this first class care and aftercare provided.

Soaring forward into the future, both Colin and Lydia will be joining many other events which, will give Veterans the opportunity of obtaining advice and direction towards a better life for both them and their families.
